Carrie Soto is Back – Taylor Jenkins Reid

I spent the weekend completing #CarrieSotoIsBack by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I wasn’t sure how this was going to work out for me, but in the end I loved it. I have no idea what really goes on in tennis, so I thought this could be a problem for me. I think I also struggled to get behind an aggressive character like Carrie, but then I realised that’s my own internalised misogyny, worked on it and actually found her endearing and inspiring in the end.
